Cape May Seashore LineFor a long time, railroads provided the means for people to visit the Jersey Shore. Most of the coastal towns including Cape May, Wildwood, and Long Beach Island were served by a railroad. With the popularity of the automobile, the days of steam engines pulling into the shore towns was over. The Cape May Seashore Line has preserved a bit of our past. They provide excursion service from to and from Cape May. If you visit their website (Listed below) they are planning to provide passenger service from Cape May to points such as Camden and Philadelphia. They run a variety of vintage diesel engines on the line. The Line Runs from the City of Cape May, through Cold Spring Village and Cape May Courthouse to Tuckahoe which is near Atlantic City. The Cape May Terminal is located near the Cape May Stage.
