The Beach At Cape MayThe Beach at Cape May is typical of New Jersey Beaches. There is metered parking along the beach. However, that fills up quickly in the summer. Your best bet if you want to enjoy the beach is to stay within walking distance.
You will need beach badges during the season. Check with your hotel or inn to see if they supply them. (it appears that the beach badge regulations may have changed in a way that prohibits hotels from offering badges to their guests) If not, you can purchase beach tags at the entrances. The dunes are critical to the survival of Cape May. There are some fairly strict regulations about disturbing them. Please be a good neighbor and avoid them.
The beach isn't as wide as nearby Wildwood. However, the beaches aren't usually overcrowded.
