The Blue Pig Tavernin Congress Hall
Kyle's review. We usually stay at Congress Hall which means that we end up at the Blue Pig quite often. The restaurant consists of one room decorated in a colonial tavern style plus al fresco dining that you see in the picture above. We also stopped in for desert one evening and thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate mousse. Breakfast. We ate al fresco. It's a pleasant experience since the tables we had were in the shade. I ordered the waffles with a side of sausage. We were sitting with a couple whose kids had become friendly with our son. The kids were sitting at another table. The waitress kept the two checks separate for us. The coffee was a little off that day in that it was a little bitter. This isn't usually the case though. As with any al fresco dining you should be dressed appropriately and bring some mosquito repellant (which was not necessary when we were there) Lunch. I opted for the smoked chicken and brie ($8) This was simply delicious. We were there when most of the schools were still in their last week. That meant that we had most of the dining room to ourselves. The service was prompt and attentive. Portions were generous so, with a nod to Atkins, I reluctantly left half of my baguette
