Henry's on the Beach
Kyle's Review: Henry’s is located on the Promenade, next to the Convention center. The restaurant is much larger than it appears from the boardwalk. There is seating inside. It doesn’t appear to be air conditioned. We ate on the beachfront porch. This is under a large awning. The seating is not crowded. The best part is that you have a spectacular view of the ocean and, if the wind is right, a cool ocean breeze. We stopped in for breakfast. Seating was prompt and the staff was very friendly. I ordered their sourdough French Toast with sausage. They give you three slices of thick French toast. The waitress kept the ice tea filled for us. While we were there, the Cape May Whale Watching boat cruised by and we saw a couple glide by on a para sailing trip. Overall, the food and service were very good. If you go, it might be worthwhile to keep a bottle of insect repellant handy. We weren’t bothered at all but al fresco dining can invite buzzing guests. Henry’s is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. When we called about a late breakfast they said that they were serving breakfast until 3 pm. Now that’s accommodating. Parking can be tight, especially near the beach. If you can walk there, that is probably your best bet. Since you are in the heart of Cape May, there is plenty to do before and after eating. Henry’s takes most major credit cards. For more information, please visit the Henry's on the Beach site
