Tisha's - Dining Review (dinner)
Kyle's Review Tisha’s is al fresco dining on the boardwalk, next to the convention center. The restaurant itself is in the end of the building closest to the beach. As of June the front of the building is being renovated. You need to walk toward the beach end to the restaurant. I ordered the Saute Scallops which is sea scallops in a light cream sauce over pasta for $26. This came with either a Caesar or garden salad. The portions were generous and the flavor was excellent. Service was a little bit leisurely. We had been seated at 8 and weren't finished with our salad until 9 since it took a while to arrive. We finished dinner at about 9:30. We decided to forgo the desert since we were being assaulted by a swarm of mosquitoes. For some reason they seemed to be attracted to our table. Part of the problem is that the large door near the cash register is open. We're not sure but it appears that they are not air conditioned. On most nights this won't matter because of the cool ocean breezes. We have a couple of suggestions if you go: Bring some layered clothing so that you can adjust to changing temperatures. Once the sun goes down it can become chilly. One of the charms of al fresco dining is being outside. However, the temperature can't be regulated. Also, be sure to apply a mosquito repellant if you will be dining near or after dusk. The mosquito population will vary according to the weather and other conditions. Parking is tight in season since Tisha's is in the center of town. However, they are only a short walk from a majority of the downtown hotels and inns. For more information, please check out Tisha's website.
Dining at Tisha's provides a great view of the beach
