Fresco's Ristorante
Fresco's is located at 412 Bank Street Kyle's Review Fresco’s is located next to 410 bank street. It’s only a two block walk from the Washington Street Mall. The restaurant is located in an old Victorian house. We were greeted by a very friendly staff. The main dining room is done in peach tones. We sat in a smaller (3 tables) dining room in the rear. That room was done in tones of dark green and a sea foam green. If you go, check out the painting/sculpture of the calamari/squid on the wall. It is very unique. Fresco’s is BYOB. The air conditioning and ceiling fans create a pleasant dining experience. They were playing classical music in the background. . We tried the Italian sodas at the suggestion of our server. The bread is served with a plate of olive oil. I ordered the basil stuffed shrimp for an appetizer. This was a little expensive but it was interesting. It consisted of three shrimps wrapped in basil and proscuitte with a couple of slices of Melon and a fruit sauce. The special of the day seemed worth trying. It was seared scallops on tomatoes with crab sauce, basil mashed potatoes and cape may lobster. It proved to be an excellent choice. The scallops were perfect, the crab sauce was hearty and loaded with delicious crab meat. For desert I tried the chocolate decadence and a cappuccino. The chocolate decadence was $8 for two fairly small slices of an extremely rich chocolate cake. I’m a die hard chocolate lover who can never get enough of the stuff but the serving was extremely satisfying. The restaurant is very kid friendly. They don’t have children’s meals but they will make a kid sized pasta dish. The portions were large enough that we had plenty to share with our son. The menu has a wide range of selections. Kiki's Review Frescos consists of two small dining rooms – one is bright orange the other is dark lime green. We started with two Italian sodas one lemon and one orange very delicious. We had grilled oysters with chopped tomatoes – very good. Next, we had scallops over plum tomatoes with a crab sauce – was excellent. It was served with basil mash potatoes excellent. For dessert I had tiramisu which was wonderful. A wonderful Italian treat!
