Congress Hall

Congress Hall has a long, colorful history. The entire hotel has been recently renovated (About 2001). We rented a deluxe room on the top floor. The rooms are not very large which is typical of a mid 1800's hotel. If you are in the area, it's worth a trip to the hotel to see the pictures of the reconstruction, the antique piano in the lounge and the unique gifts in their gift shop.

One of the things we enjoy about our stays at Congress Hall is the bright, cheerful colors used in the rooms. Another is the spacious bathrooms. When the hotel was renovated, they made the new rooms from two of the original rooms which allows for the bathroom size. The fixtures are all period style which adds to the ambience. Many of the rooms have an excellent ocean view. The Beach is directly across the street.
