The porch is a great spot just about any time of the day. You can grab a coffee and enjoy the cool morning breeze. . They even have workstations for rent.In June 2005, Congress Hall has wireless internet access. We only tried it from our room but the connection was flawless. The cost was the usual 9.95 per day. If you are going to be using it over several days you can call the front desk for an access code and they will bill the charges to your room. If you didn't bring your computer, the Magic Brain Cyber Cafe is  right across the street. They provide high speed access and machines at reasonable prices

John Philip Sousa , "the March King" and his band performed at Congress Hall. He composed a piece to honor the Hotel which he called "Congress Hall" in 1882. You can download an MP2 or midi version of that march. On the same page, you will also find Sousa's "Atlantic City Pageant" from 1927.
