| Alaethea's Restaurant provides a
full range of breakfast offerings. We arrived at 10am on a Friday Morning.
The main dining room was set up for dinner and breakfast was being served on
the enclosed porch. There was enough of an ocean breeze that they didn't
have the air conditioning turned on yet. Between the screens and ceiling
fans things were more than comfortable.
They didn't have a designated non smoking area but no one was smoking at
the time.
The staff was very kid friendly. They have the usual breakfast fare:
eggs, cereal, oatmeal, pancakes, waffles and french toast. I ordered
the Belgian Waffle ($7) with a side order of sugar cured ham ($3.50). Our
son ordered the same thing but with blueberry topping.
Our seat was right next to the window and overlooked the pool and the
ocean. The main dining room is visible from the porch and looked inviting.

If you go, be sure to take a walk through the antique shop in the lobby
and check out the old prints in the bar.
Summary
Definitely worth the trip. The staff was friendly and helpful and the
ambience is definitely Cape May Victorian.
They are also open for lunch and dinner with a variety of seafood,
chicken and meat entrees. |
Very eclectic Victorian décor with good
old-fashion service. For Breakfast I had scrambled eggs, sausage, rye toast.
We ate on the enclosed porch with ceiling fans which had a beautiful
serene view of the ocean while you ate.
